GAUGE: Strip = 4 in. (10 cm) wide. BE SURE TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE.
NOTES: To change color, work last stitch of old color to last yarn over. Yarn over with next color and draw through all loops on hook to complete stitch.
STRIP 1 (make 6)
Block 1
With A, ch 13.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across - 11 hdc.
Rows 2-7: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across; change to B in last st of Row 7.
Fasten off A.
Block 2
Rows 1 and 2: With B, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across.
Rows 3-5: With B, ch 2, turn, hdc in first 3 sts; change to A; hdc in next 5 sts; change to B; hdc in remaining 3 sts.
Rows 6 and 7: With B, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across; change to A in last st of Row 7.
Fasten off B.
Block 3
Rows 1-7: With A, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across; change to B in last st of Row 7.
Rep Blocks 2 and 3 until there are a total of 15 blocks. Fasten off.
STRIP 2 (make 3)
Block 1
With C, ch 13.
Row 1: Hdc in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across - 11 hdc.
Row 2: With C, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across.
Rows 3-5: With C, ch 2, turn, hdc in first 3 sts; change to B; hdc in next 5 sts; change to C, hdc in remaining 3 sts.
Rows 6 and 7: With C, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across; change to A in last st of Row 7.
Fasten off C.
Block 2
Rows 1 and 2: With A, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across.
Rows 3-5: With A, ch 2, turn, hdc in first 3 sts; change to B; hdc in next 5 sts; change to A; hdc in remaining 3 sts.
Rows 6 and 7: With A, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across; change to C in last st of Row 7.

Rows 3-5: With B, ch 2, turn, hdc in first 3 sts; change to C; hdc in next 5 sts; change to B, hdc in remaining 3 sts.
Rows 6 and 7: With B, ch 2, turn, hdc in each hdc across; change to D in last st of Row 7.
Fasten off B.
Rep Blocks 2 and 3 until there are a total of 15 blocks. Fasten off.
FINISHING
Arrange Strips together from left to right in the following order:
Strip 1, Strip 2, Strip 1, Strip 3, Strip 1, Strip 2, Strip 1, Strip 3, Strip 1, Strip 2 and Strip 1.
Sew together along long edges.
Edging
With right side facing, join D in top edge of Afghan.
Rnd 1: Sc evenly around outside edge, working 3 sc in each corner.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in each corner; join with slip st in first sc.
Fasten off. Weave in ends.
